Alber Elbaz, an Israeli fashion designer whose entire creative methodology was based on understanding women’s lives and inspiring, comforting, and enhancing confidence in them through his timeless designs. His immense ability to look beyond the style, tackle the problem of the fashion system, and ultimately offer a modern solution-based collection for women, made him an ally of every woman. Albert Elbaz passed away on April 15 last year after battling COVID-19, but he left behind a huge and elegant legacy that has a strong essence of liberating women. 

Lanvin Collaborated With Cachet To Launch A Women’s Sunglasses Collection (Spring 2007)

Lanvin, in partnership with Cachet, a division of L’Amy America, launched four new Lanvin women’s sunglasses and exhibited them in the Spring 2007 Lanvin ready-to-wear collection. It was uniquely created under the creative guidance of Alber Elbaz. The entire collection is a magical blend of timeless elegance and sophistication, which perfectly balances modernity and imbues a sense of class. The sunglasses in this collection can be recognized by their large frames, which feature oversized screw heads on the front, offering them a distinct appearance. 

The Lanvin LV2114 Way Shiner is made of acetate and features an exceptionally oversize design. At the time of launch, it was available in two different styles, one with crystals and one without crystals. The Lanvin LV2115 Key West features extremely oversized rounded lenses and visible screw heads on the front of the frame. It was launched in two different colors – black and tortoise. A modern twist with the perfect blend of classicism and the latest techniques; defines this model. 

The LV2116 Saratoga sunglasses feature a futuristic design, also defined by Albert Elbaz as a traditional aviator. The sunglasses are made of a metal face with plastic temples and visible screw heads. The Lanvin LV2117 sunglasses featuring an oversized plastic frame, stainless steel overlays, and large screw heads were launched in three colors – black, light tortoise, and dark tortoise.

“Pioneered the return of major jewelry on the runways”, according to the New York Times. And it made sense when Alber Elbaz designed the bijouterie-inspired shades. The sunglasses feature oversized black frames, embellished with facet cut stones ranging from marquise-cut celadon green to round-cut chartreuse to blazing emerald greens. 

The stones were set precisely in the frames, and they glaze when they capture the light around them. Alber Elbaz creates exceptional designs with his imaginative power and uses them as a weapon to infuse courage in women, and this design proved it. 

Lanvin Launched A Special Sunglasses Collection & Presented In Paris (2011) 

Lanvin launched an exclusive sunglasses collection designed by Alber Elbaz and presented it extravagantly at the Rue Saint-Honoré store in Paris in 2011. The sunglasses are made from exclusive materials such as crystals, precious stones, and the metal frames are embellished with gold or horn. 

The entire collection is split into two parts a retro range and a modern line. They were launched in beautiful color ranges like beige, brown, blue, and gunmetal grey. The splendid presentation made the collection even more grand. Each pair was paired with a special white box gift with a brown velvet lining.

Lanvin’s First Eyewear Optical Collection Designed By Alber Elbaz

Lanvin launched its first eyewear optical collection in partnership with the De Rigo Group and was designed by Alber Elbaz. These glasses were exclusively designed for both men and women. The eyewear collection features a stunning blend of retro and contemporary details and proudly reflects the tradition of the French Maison. 

Much attention was paid to research into materials and extraordinary details. The material used includes horn, bronzed, and golden metals. The innovative color combination also played a huge role in this collection. The rich natural beige, brown nuances, and ocean blue hues, accentuated its appearance. 

Apart from his collection, Alber Elbaz was also known for his unique style preferences. His impeccable love for black round glasses and bow ties not only set him apart from the other designers but has also managed to win over many admirers.
